Deleting Temporary Internet Files or Cache on Most Common Browsers

Microsoft Edge:

  1. Click menu (. . .) and select Settings.
  2. Under Clear browsing data click Choose what to clear.
  3. Check the boxes for Browsing history / Cookies and saved website data / Cached data files.
  4. Click Clear.
  5. Wait for Edge to clear data (this may take a few minutes).
  6. Close and restart Edge.


Internet Explorer:

  1. Go to the Tools menu, and click Internet options.
  2. Select the General tab and choose Delete under Browsing history.
  3. Check Temporary Internet files / Cookies / website data and click Delete.
  4. When Internet Explorer has finished deleting the files, a dialog box will appear at the bottom of the screen: Internet Explorer has finished deleting the selected browsing history.
  5. Click OK in the Internet Options window.
  6. Close and restart Internet Explorer.



  1. Press Alt + S at the same time, on the keyboard, to access the History menu.
  2. Select Clear Recent History… and a dialog box will appear.
  3. Time range to clear: select Everything.
  4. Check the boxes for Cookies and Cache, and click Clear Now.
  5. Close and restart Firefox.



  1. Click the Chrome menu (. . .) on the browser toolbar.
  2. Select History.
  3. Select Clear Browsing Data.
  4. In the dialog box that appears, at the top select the amount of data you wish to clear (Beginning of Time will delete everything.) Place a check in the types of information you want to remove.
  5. Click Clear browsing data.
  6. Close and restart Google Chrome.


Safari (Mac):

  1. In the menu bar across the top, click on History and select Clear History…
  2. When the dialog box appears click Clear.
  3. Close and restart Safari.
