Congregational Song book

Posted by & filed under THE GLOSSARY.

A congregational song book is a book that was published for the purpose of being used by a congregation. Typically, these are hymnals or any pew edition song books.

Books that would not be congregational are: choir books, instrumental books, performance books (i.e. solo, duet, trio, quartet, ensemble), orchestrations, octavos, cantatas, musicals, or an artist’s song book.
